Program Management of interagency technology modernization initiatives requiring federal, state, and local coordination, and project leadership
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) serves as Georgia’s lead agency charged with preventing disease, injury, and disability; promoting health and well-being; and preparing for and responding to disasters from a health perspective. Facing federal mandates and the need to modernize existing technology supporting both Federal programs and local county services, DPH has the need to organize and execute a series of initiatives to deploy new technology and processes by October 2020. The change is anticipated to be far reaching impacting all 159 counties, and 500,000 people annually receiving DPH services.
Provided a senior program manager to lead and manage the program. Working collaboratively with DPH, we designed the program plan, including multiple project plans, and is currently drafting Request for Proposals (RFPs) for vendor technology solutions. Our client was able to realize a consistent governance approach over program initiatives and actively engage interagency leadership to maintain control over in-flight concerns. As a result of our efforts, we have been engaged to provide additional support across the multi-year program.
